About

Welcome to Regional Print, a Queensland based blog that brings you news and information about printmaking outside the metropolitan areas of Brisbane.

Regional Print is the initiative of an informal group that met to plan the SE Queensland response to the PCA 50th Anniversary Year of Print in 2016. The momentum and good will that grew out of the events in 2016 has encouraged us to maintain this blog into the future as a sharing space for printmakers.

Our goal is a strong network of printmakers and printmaking activity in regional Queensland. We hope the blog will help printmakers and printmaking groups connect with each other, facilitate the sharing of information and expertise, and encourage individual printmakers to extend their practices and aspire to a high level of professionalism .

We support the role of the Print Council of Australia as the peak body for printmaking  nationally, and where possible link our activities with the goals and activities of the PCA.

We encourage printmakers and printmaking groups in regional Queensland to use the blog as a resource, to post information about their activities, to share opportunities for participation in printmaking events, competitions and exhibitions, to connect with other regional printmakers and participate in activities outside their local communities.

Individual printmakers and group coordinators who would like to post events to the blog are invited to contact regionalprint@gmail.com

Please subscribe via email or follow us via RSS feed to keep up-to-date with what’s happening in printmaking in regional SE Queensland.
