Children’s Holiday Printmaking Workshops – Maroochy Botanic Gardens

kids1The children’s printmaking workshops held over the School Holidays with Christine Elcoate and Victoria Atkins were a great success. Younger children printed with leaves and pressed found objects and plants into plastocene to create plates, while the older age group tried their hand at collographs with plant material from the gardens.

Prints from the workshops will be on show at the Arts and Ecology Centre.

Exhibition dates: 15 March until 10 April.

Exhibition Title: Art Reflecting The Environment – Children’s Printmaking
Through curiosity, creativity and discovery children explored the depth and diversity of flora and fauna in the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden through the art of printmaking.
