The Children’s Botanic Printmaking Exhibition was opened yesterday by local printmaker and member of the Print Council of Australia committee, Tory Richards. The exhibition, in the Arts and Ecology Centre at Maroochy Botanic Gardens, is part of a series of events held in celebration of the Print Council of Australia’s 50th Year of Print and will  be showing most days 10 – 2 p.m. until 10th April 2016 (see information below).

As well as 2D prints the exhibition includes artist books

Congratulations to the 20 children who participated in the school holiday workshops, to the tutors Victoria Atkins, Christine Elcoate, Catherine Money, and Rosie Lloyd Gilbert who helped them through the processes, and to Catherine Money and Robert Natoli who have made the exhibition shine. It is lovely work, beautifully presented and includes 49 2D prints and 8 nature books.

We encourage artists of all ages to sign up to our regional blog and know that you are welcome with your friends and family at the exhibitions and workshops scheduled over the coming months.
